Combine several screenshots into one image Answer # How do I combine several screenshots into one image on a Mac? The quickest built-in way is the Shortcuts app: make a shortcut with the **Combine Images** action, which lays your screenshots side by side, stacked or in a grid, and saves one picture. Open **Shortcuts** and click **+** for a new shortcut. 2. Add **Select Photos**, or **Select File** for screenshots in Finder. 3. Add **Combine Images** and choose **Horizontally**, **Vertically** or **In a Grid**, with the spacing you want. 4. Add **Save File** (or **Copy to Clipboard**). 5. Run it, pick your screenshots, and you get one image. ## With Keynote - Make a slide with a plain background and drag your screenshots onto it. - Line them up with the yellow guides, and resize them so they match. - Choose **File → Export To → Images** to save the slide as a PNG or JPEG. - This is the way to add labels, arrows or a title between the shots. ## With Clacky’s Collage Every Clacky shot lands on the **Shelf** beside the editor (the last 20, for 24 hours by default), and you can drop in any image too. 1. Take your shots with **⌥⇧⌘4** (area) or **⌥⇧⌘5** (window). 2. On the Shelf, select two or more and click **Make Collage**. 3. Pick a layout: **Side by side**, **Stacked**, **2 × 2 grid**, **1 big + 2 small**, **3 in a row**, **Showcase** or **Freeform**. **Match heights** or **Match widths** lines them up. 4. Choose **Nice** (⌘B) for a background, even gaps, rounded corners and a shadow per shot, or **Raw** for the shots edge to edge, for docs and bug reports. 5. Not in a simple way. Preview can put images in one PDF, but for a single picture, use Shortcuts, Keynote or a collage tool. ### What about a before and after picture? Put the two shots side by side.
