Boop is Clacky's mascot, a small round character who runs Clackyland: Boop bakes the cookies at the Cookie Factory, keeps Boop's Bazaar and plays Chess vs Boop. It lives in Clackyland and can sit small beside the notch. It stays on your Mac unless you turn on Friends. **Boop** is Clacky's own character. Turn off **Show my blip** in Settings → Boop and you see plain Boop in its place, while your Blip, its level and its streak are kept. ## Ask Boop and Boop Support Two kinds of help carry Boop's name, and they work differently. **Ask Boop** is an AI helper: ask a question in plain words and it answers with steps and pictures, written by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. If the answer is a setting, **Do it for me** flips it and **Undo** puts it back. **Boop Support** is a real person: Justinas answers every message himself. See [how to get help with Clacky](https://clacky.app/answers/get-help-with-clacky/). ## How to find Boop 1. Click Clacky's icon in the menu bar and open the Clacky window. 2. Click **Clackyland** on the switcher at the top, then visit the Cookie Factory or the Bazaar. 3. For help, choose **More → Boop Support…** in the menu, or press ⌘K in the Clacky window and ask Boop in plain words. 4. Want Boop by the notch? Open Settings → Notch and set **Beside the notch** to **Boop** or **Both**. ## Turning Boop down Boop never pops up to ask for anything: Clacky Core has no nudges. If you'd rather not see Boop by the notch, set Beside the notch to **Your Blip** or **Nothing**. The rest of the time Boop stays in Clackyland and in the help windows, where you go to find Boop. ## Questions ### Is Boop an AI? Boop is a character. Ask Boop, one of the help tools with Boop's name, uses an AI model to write its answers. Boop Support is answered by a real person. ### Is Boop the same as my Blip? No. Boop is Clacky's mascot, the same for everyone. Your Blip is your own character, with its own name and looks. ### Can I hear Boop's sounds? Yes.
