Post as often as you like; your best post is the one that counts. Tips ## Make a clip people watch twice Clacky is made to be filmed: the ripple shows every click and the sound makes it satisfying. A few things help. ### Turn the sound on Half the fun is the click. Record with system audio so the sound makes it into the video, and post with sound on. ### Use the built-in recorder On macOS 15 or later, choose **Record Screen…** from Clacky’s menu. It records your screen with the ripples and the click sound, no setup needed. ### Pick the Recording preset In Clacky’s settings, the **Recording** preset makes the ripple big and bold enough to read on a phone screen. ### Try dark and light The ripple pops differently on a dark app and a bright page. Film both and keep the one that looks best, or cut between them. ### Show a real task Clicking through something you actually do (editing a photo, building a slide, a game of solitaire) beats clicking at nothing. ### Hook in the first second Start on a click, not a title card. The cashback is a refund of part or all of what you paid, and your licence keeps working on both Macs. ### Can I claim 50% now and the rest later? + Each purchase gets one cashback. If your post is still climbing, you can wait until it passes the higher milestone and claim that instead. ### Do views from several posts add up? + No: one post has to pass the milestone on its own. Post as many clips as you like, though; the one that does best is the one you claim with. ### Why do I have to say it’s an ad? + Because you get money back for posting, the law (the FTC in the US, and similar rules in the UK and EU) counts your post as an ad, and your viewers have a right to know. Adding **#ad**, using the platform’s paid-partnership label, or saying “I get cashback from Clacky for posting this” all work. It doesn’t have to be loud, just clear. ### What counts as organic views? + Views from people who found your post on their own: the feed, search, shares, your followers. Paid boosts, ads, bought views, bots and view-swapping groups don’t count. ### Can I use the free trial? + You can film during the trial, but the cashback is a refund, so it needs a purchase to refund. Buy before you claim. ### How long does the refund take? + We check each claim by hand and reply by email. Once it’s approved, Polar sends the refund to the card or account you paid with; when it shows up depends on your bank. ### What if my platform isn’t listed? + For now it’s TikTok, Instagram Reels and X. Posting somewhere else with a big audience? Email [hello@clacky.app](mailto:hello@clacky.app) and ask. ## The fine print 1. Open to anyone who bought Clacky at clacky.app. One cashback per purchase. 2. The video must be yours and original: a real recording of Clacky on your Mac, posted publicly from an account you own. Re-uploads of someone else’s clip or of Clacky’s own videos don’t count. 3. Put the caption from this page in your post’s description or caption (it has clacky.app, #clacky and the disclosure). You can add your own words around it, but keep those three parts. 4. A single post has to pass the milestone by itself. Views from several posts don’t add up, but you can post as many times as you like. 5. Organic views only. Bought views, bots, view-for-view groups and paid promotion (boosting the post or running it as an ad) disqualify the claim. 6. Keep the post public until your claim is checked. Every claim is checked by hand, and we may decline one that doesn’t meet these rules. 7. The cashback is a partial or full refund of your order, sent by Polar to the card or account you paid with. You keep your licence either way. 8. Your video stays yours. We may reshare it on Clacky’s own accounts and website, always with credit. Say no in your claim email and we won’t. 9.
