# Cursor styles

## What it is

Choose how the pointer looks in your video: the Mac’s Arrow, a Hand, a Big Arrow, Boop’s Paw, or Hidden. It’s drawn from your real pointer, and every click squishes it a little, with the ripple right under its tip.

Changed your mind after recording? Pick another style in Studio and the video updates.

## How to use it

1.  1
    
    Open the recorder
    
    In Studio, click Record.
    
2.  2
    
    Pick a cursor
    
    Click Cursor in the recorder bar and choose Arrow, Hand, Big Arrow, Boop Paw or Hidden.

    Record
    
    Record as usual. Your cursor is added when you stop.
    
4.  4
    
    Change it later
    
    In Studio’s editor, use the Cursor row in the Edit tab.
    

## Tips

-   Settings → Recorder → Cursor in recordings sets the style too.

## Questions

Does it change my cursor on screen?

No. You keep the Mac’s normal pointer; the style is only in the recording.

Can I hide the cursor completely?

Yes. Pick Hidden and the video has no pointer.
