Every family has its own feel:

-   **Desk**: Beige, Rollerball, Ledger, Walnut.
-   **Studio**: Hush, Tap, Felt, Whisper, Thock. Quiet enough to leave on while you record.
-   **Toybox**: Bubble, Pop, Tink, Zap, Boop, Pixel.
-   **Tingle**: Tok, Pebble, Droplet, Marble, Kalimba. Best in headphones.

## Scroll, keyboard and moments

Scroll Ticks plays a tick per notch of the scroll wheel in 8 scroll styles: Fine tick, Ratchet, Wheel detent, Soft tap, Bubble, Zipper, Rotary and Silent, or Match click sound. Double-click and long press can have their own little sound, and dragging can play Pencil, Zipper or Soft hum.

Keyboard Sounds plays a sound for every key you press. Clacky never records, stores, logs or sends which keys you type, and never captures text. Password fields (Secure Input) stay quiet.

## The ripple

Click Ripples draws a ring under the pointer on every click, so anyone watching a recording or a screen share sees where you clicked. Pick a style, a size and a colour for each mouse button. Ripples have their own switch, so they work with every sound off too.

You decide where sounds play: only with headphones, on the output you pick, or only in the apps you choose.

## Questions

Are the sounds recordings?

They are made by Clacky’s own sound engine, on your Mac. You can hear every one on the sounds page before you install anything.

Does Clacky record what I type?

No. Each key press only plays a sound. Clacky never records, stores, logs or sends which keys you type, and password fields stay quiet.

Do click sounds work with a trackpad?

Yes. Clacky plays a sound for every press and release of a mouse or trackpad, including tap to click.
