# Click sound generator

Every click sound in Clacky, in your browser. Tap one to hear it, put two side by side to compare, and download the one you like as a WAV file for your video, app or game.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type, click, film or say is uploaded or saved.

## How to use it

1. Tap any sound to hear a full click: the press and the release.
2. To compare, tap **B** and pick a second sound, then press **A, then B**.
3. Press **Download WAV** to save sound A as a short WAV file (48 kHz, mono).

## Where the sounds come from

None of them are recordings. Each one is made by a small piece of code (filtered noise, a short tone and a few echoes), the same code the Clacky Mac app uses, so the download is exactly what you hear here.

## Using them in your work

The WAV files are free to use in your own videos, apps, games and posts, also commercial ones. A credit (“click sound by clacky.app”) is welcome but not required. Please don’t resell them as a sound pack.

Make your Mac feel this good all day

Want these on every real click? Clacky plays your pick on every mouse and trackpad click on your Mac, with a ripple for screen recordings.

## Questions

### Can I use these click sounds in a YouTube video?

Yes. Download the WAV and drop it into your editor. They’re free to use in your own videos, also monetised ones. A credit is nice but not required.

### What format is the download?

A WAV file: 48 kHz, 16-bit, mono, about half a second long, with the press and the release of one click. Every editor and DAW opens it.

### Why does each click sound a little different in the Mac app?

The app changes pitch and level a tiny bit on every click, like a real mouse. The download uses one fixed version so it’s the same every time.

### Can I get these sounds on every click on my Mac?

Yes, that’s what Clacky does: it plays the click you pick each time you click your mouse or trackpad, in every app.
