Export for Claude
One file with your words, their times, the clicks and the edit. Claude Code writes an edit plan; import it and its pop-ups land on the timeline.

What it is
Export for Claude saves one file next to your recording with your words and their times, the clicks and the edit so far.
Claude Code reads it and writes an edit plan. Import the plan and its pop-ups land on Studio’s timeline, one Undo away.
Studio uploads nothing itself: the file is saved on your Mac, and you choose where it goes.
How to use it
Open the recording in Studio
Click the Clacky icon in the menu bar, go to Studio and click Edit a Video.
Export for Claude
In the Edit tab, open More, then under Direct with Claude click Export for Claude. The file shows in Finder and a prompt for Claude Code is copied.
Ask Claude Code
Paste the prompt into Claude Code. It writes the edit plan next to your recording.
Import the plan
Back in Studio, click Import plan… and pick the plan file. Its pop-ups land on the timeline.
Questions
- Does Clacky send my video to Claude?
- No. Studio saves a file with the words, times, clicks and edit on your Mac; you give it to Claude Code yourself.
- Can I undo the plan?
- Yes. Importing it is one Undo step.
