CPS test
How many clicks per second can you do? Pick a time, click the box as fast as you can, and see your CPS. Your best score per time is kept in this browser.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type, click, film or say is uploaded or saved.
It runs right here, on the little Mac. Drag the window, open other apps from the Dock.
How it works
- Pick a time: 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds.
- Your first click starts the clock.
- When time runs out, your score is clicks ÷ seconds.
Turn on Spacebar to count presses of the space bar instead of (or as well as) clicks.
What’s a good CPS?
Most people click 6–8 times a second. Above 10 is fast, and techniques like jitter or butterfly clicking can reach 12–20. Short tests give higher scores; 30 and 60 seconds show your stamina.
Questions
What is CPS?
Clicks per second: the number of clicks divided by the seconds of the test. 50 clicks in 5 seconds is 10 CPS.
What’s the average CPS?
Around 6–7 clicks per second for a normal click. Gamers who practise jitter or butterfly clicking reach 10–15 or more.
Can I test the space bar?
Yes: tick Spacebar and every press of the space bar counts. Holding it down counts once.
Is my best score saved?
Only in this browser (localStorage), one best per time. Nothing is sent to a server.
