Screenshot frame
Make a plain screenshot look ready to post. Drop it in, pick a Mac window, a MacBook or an iPhone, choose a size for X, Instagram or stories, and download a PNG.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type, click, film or say is uploaded or saved.
How to frame a screenshot
- Choose, drop or paste a screenshot.
- Pick a frame: Window (a Mac window with the three lights), MacBook, iPhone or None.
- Pick a size: 16:9 for X and slides, 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram, 9:16 for stories and TikTok.
- Press Download PNG, or Copy image to paste it straight into a post.
Tips
- Phone screenshots look best in the iPhone frame at 4:5 or 9:16.
- Crop the screenshot to what matters first: a smaller window reads better on a phone.
- The background is the same soft one Clacky uses for all its own posts.
Private by design
The picture stays on your computer: the frame is drawn by your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Questions
How do I put a screenshot in a Mac window frame?
Drop the screenshot here, pick “Window” and download the PNG. It gets the three coloured lights, rounded corners and a soft shadow.
What size should a screenshot be for X or Instagram?
For X, 16:9 (1920 × 1080 here). For an Instagram post, 4:5 (1080 × 1350) fills the most screen; 9:16 (1080 × 1920) is for stories and Reels.
Is it free? Is there a watermark?
It’s free. There’s a small “clacky.app” line at the bottom that you can switch off.
Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. It never leaves your browser.
